Emergence and initial growth of açaí palm under different light levels after seed dormancy breaking treatments

Light availability and dormancy are two factors that interfere with germination initial plant growth. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of different pre-germination treatments on emergence growth Euterpe oleracea Mart. seedlings subjected levels luminosity. A completely randomized design was adopted in a 4 × 3 factorial scheme four methods overcoming (intact seed, hot water at 60 °C, soaking for 24 h water, mechanical scarification sandpaper No. 100) three luminosity (25 %, 65 100 %) 16 repetitions per treatment. The percentage, speed index, mean time were analyzed. evaluated using following variables: height, stem diameter, shoot dry mass, root total leaf area, mass ratio. There an interaction between light breakage area. variables ratio showed better results full sun. It concluded shade provided greater açaí palm intact seeds.
